Tips and Tricks for Autumn Organising

As the season changes to wetter and colder, here are three suggestions to help you prepare for autumn and beyond.

Go with the flow

It’s great to tidy, but there is no sense in putting vital things in places where they won’t be close by when you want to use them. Decide what your key tools are and put them within arms reach of where you need them.

Make an entrance

Create a good entry area where each person in the house has a designated place to put their stuff. Make a place for wet umbrellas, heavy coats and muddy boots. Then tell everyone in your house the system.

Eat more beans!

Our children are getting more concerned about the state of the planet. To support them, we can reduce our meat consumption by replacing half of the meat in a recipe with beans. I find using extra kidney beans in chilli and puy lentils in casserole work well.
Happy Autumn.
